Richard Paul Evans – Author of “The Christmas Box”

Andrew and I had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful, and giving author, Richard Paul Evans.
He is the author of hugely popular “The Christmas Box,” and his new book “The Christmas List.” I had the opportunity to read “The Christmas List,” and wow. What an inspiring, heart-felt book! It is about a “Scrooge-like” Real Estate guru who cares about nothing, and no one but growing his wealth; until one day when the newspaper mistakenly prints his obituary. That day, everything is suddenly put into perspective. His eyes are opened to all the people he has hurt, and he is out to change the legacy he would leave behind if he really did die.
I highly recommend “The Christmas List” to anyone who is looking to feel the true meaning of this Holiday Season!
Richard Paul Evans is also the Board Chairman for the Christmas Box House, The Christmas Box International partners with local and international communities and groups to prevent child abuse and to improve the quality of life for children who have been abused or neglected. Each Christmas Box House serves as a one-stop assessment center for abused and neglected children, from infants through children up to the age of eighteen. We were so inspired by this charity organization and Richard Paul Evans’ books, that Andrew and I offered our help in any way we could. After speaking to them about Princess Amerah, they were thrilled to hear that I would come entertain and do an interactive Story time with the children! That is fantastic that were were able to meet Mr. Evans. You may remember me, I am Katelyn’s father. You also just created a wonderful time for her and her friends at Gabriella’s b-day party last night. You have an amazing talent that could only come from someone that has a sincere love for children and peoples happiness. My daughter has not stopped talking about you and how wonderful her birthday was. I do not think she will ever forget it.
A few months ago, my grand daughter, was still born a few weeks before she was due. My oldest daughter and her husband have had a difficult time dealing with their loss. I had The story of the Christmas Box in my drawer that I had never read. That evening I read the entire story. I immediately went out to find the a box that matched what was described in the story. I also picked up a copy of the The Christmas Box Miracle, a companion book written to describe how the original book has touched so many lives. After shedding a few more tears, I placed the books in the box, drove to the hospital to visit my daughter, and gave her and her husband the box with the books.
This book has helped our family in so may ways. I am glad to see that it has been an inspiration to you too.
